Monthly meeting

I enjoyed attending Wednesday’s meeting and hearing the PDO fisheries report from Fish and Game. I must say I was disappointed with the reaction of a small portion of the membership concerning Andy Dux’s request for fish of all sizes to sample this fall. I understand that the Club is dedicated to regaining a trophy trout fishery and to some, that means the live release of anything other than what they consider a “trophy” fish. I think Andy was able to explain the samples he was looking for and after some discussion, it appeared that a workable approach can be found. Although some may not be happy with the efforts of Fish & Game, they are a partner in the overall recovery of fishing in PDO and need to be respected as such.
