New Year’s Resolutions for LPOIC, LPO and surrounding communities.
Grant Hillen: Donations each meeting for Food Bank, $1 or can of food each. They happily accept fish. Game must be Professionally processed. May try to get a display going at Bonner County Museum of LPOIC memorabilia.
Kevin Elmore: Rotate donations to different food bank every quarter? Maybe do Members Derby as Length Challenge Derby. Just do length instead of weight. Rubber stamp for Fish Bags? New person in charge of F&G Log Books. Will try for closer to 50 participants and all species covered.
Clint Nicholson: Set a goal to better communicate on Facebook, the Website, etc. Scholarship $500 this year. Application is now online and at Sandpoint High School. Requests favorite LPO memory and why going into wildlife oriented studies. Seeking donations to expand Scholarship Fund both in number and area covered.
Barb Gillespie: First and foremost we wanted to be sure to have our derby applications approved – We accomplished that – Now we need to be thinking of what we want to do as a club for the club and as a club for the lake for 2018. We don’t want to become stagnate and do the same things all the time without figuring out ways of performing these same acts in a better more productive way. Plus we want to always be looking for more things for us to be doing to make the club, the lake and the community better. As you know we are setting up our first Scholarship Program, led by Chairman Clint Nicholson. All the proceeds of the 50/50 contests held at the awards ceremonies and any money taken in through the Tackle Share Auctions that we hold every Member’s Meetings go towards the Scholarship Program plus any other donations. We hope to build this over the years to include many schools in the area. We need and welcome ideas from people for new projects to look into all the time. We want to be an even bigger contributor to the good of our communities.
