LPOIC Board Meeting 8-23-17
Attending: Dale Greene, Dave Gillespie, Barb Gillespie, Grant Hillen, Gale Belgarde, Clint Nicholson,Dave Ivy and Kevin Elmore.
Correspondence: E-mail from Brad Shelton about using smile.amazon.com to donate .5% of a purchase to listed charity. We’re listed. Also an announcement from Clark Fork Management that Tim Swant is retiring from the Clark Fork Settlement and being replaced by Nate Hall. Not related to new ownership by Hydro One of Canada.
Minutes of 9-21-17: Dale G. read and they were accepted.
Mack of the Month so far for August: Mark Wenig at 10.04#.
Treasurer’s Report: Dave G. $43,422.78 in checking, $2,100+ egg fund and $6,100+ record fund.

Spring Creek Hatchery Cleanup Critique: Went well, maybe add shade in 2nd raceway, maybe move workday earlier and still looking for teenagers to assist.
Members Only Derby:9-16 and 9-17 2017.
Questions or suggestions on what needs done? Need to recheck with Mary at Captn’s Table, cook issues.
Letter to Idaho F&G: Clint N.says can neither support nor be associated with letter w/out return to one rod rule. Barb G. says, then how about Derbies for couple years without Rainbow prizes, to allow rebuild of numbers? Nothing decided.New Business:
AIP Funding for LPOIC MOD: Dave G.
E-mails with Ken Bouwens that Avista doesn’t see where their $2000 increases the number of dead Macks, would like a portion to go towards a total caught prize, not just biggest. Letter written to justify the money and explain the probable stockpiling of fish and problem of weigh stations time expense.
Kevin E.brought up that donors are starting to provide large amounts of money, some not dedicated to a specific project. Need to come up with a suitable project to fund. Possibly the previously discussed scholarships.
Clint N. suggests guiding said donors to support larger payouts in the main divisions so there will be a sponsoring Club for the Junior Division to be in.Next Members Meeting 9-13-17 at Connie’s at 6:30 PM.
