LPOIC Board Meeting 5-23-18
Attending: Dale Greene, Dave Gillespie, Grant Hillen, Clint Nicholson, Kevin Elmore and James Mullen.
Minutes from 4-25-18 read and accepted.
Mack of the Month May: Nathan Hanson 25.54# 38.125”.
Discussion on Nolan letter from Attorney: Came down to need for Club to consult with a lawyer to give guidance on response. Grant Hillen will consult with Charlton Mills and report back.Motion made to authorize by Grant H. 2nd Dave G. Unanimous.
Report that other club recent derby used our bags at Odies.
Financials: Dave G. reports: $62,467.31 checking, $2,120.17 Egg Fund, $6,185.95 Record Fund, $600 Paypal and $374 carryover from last year, $150 donation from Clint N., $150 donation from Dan Harder and $104 from 50/50 for total of $778 in Scholarship Fund.
Scholarship awarded by Clint N. last night. Ours was one of four new ones this year.
An effort should be made to get our Club position straight before talking to Media. Got crossed up about Walleye. Unless Official Statement, identify yourself as a fisherman, not a Board Member.
Ballots are mailing 5-31-18.
Officially have no Newsletter Editor. Grant H. will try to compile and funnel stories,articles and photos. Clint N. looking into Keokee making a template.
Looking into a freezer at Garfield? Talk to Odies.
Rulers will have to be silver with red logo.Can’t do reverse on ruler this long.
Talked over doing catch and release on Rainbows on MOD. Some doubt on survivability in hot Summer water, especially with photos keeping out of water. Maybe catch and release Sportsman Award?
Getting banners through Odoms? Doable if someone will request them.
