President Barb G. welcomed attendees, mentioned MOD Derby lines out at 3:00 on Sunday and awards at 4:00 at Captns’ Table, confirmed dates for Thanksgiving Derby and said the poster should be out about October 1st. Went directly to guest speakers.
Lake Pend Oreille Alliance represented by Ralph Sleteger and Dennis Hall gave an overview on the looming lake level threat from BPA and Corp of Engineers. Details at savependoreille.org.
Idaho Fish and Game gave a presentation on kokanee and state of the fishery. Trawl and acoustic surveys were positive. Shrimp pop still depressed but trending up. Putting more emphasis on early run kokanee at the hatchery. Proposing another rainbow survey, will need heads of all size classes, esp. over 10#. Question and answer session. For example, one of the net boats was trawling deep water at speed for kokanee to compare results from annual slower trawl method.

Correspondence: September 16 will be a Lakes Commission meeting from 9AM to 12 at Dover City Hall. Review fish passage and endangered species proposals and more.
New Business: Propose a membership drive at Captns’ Table Halloween Derby. Potential raffle? Annual Pin Selection Vote to be held at General Meeting 11-12-14.
