Breaking News! Ayla Meckes the Chairperson of the LPOIC Clark Fork Hatchery and Spring Creek Restoration Project has been able to confirm the IDF&G is planning on releasing 400,000 Kokanee fry in our recently restored Clark Fork Hatchery raceway. Ayla spoke with IDF&G today and confirmed their planned releasing of the Kokanee fry tomorrow morning June 2, 2009. They anticipate 3 or 4 truckloads of fry will be delivered and the release of fish will begin around 9:00 am.  They expect to be finished with their work by noon. Ayla and I plan on arriving at the hatchery around 9:00 am and we will be taking photographs for the Forum and the LPOIC magazine. Anyone who is interested in seeing the Kokanee stocked in the raceway is welcome to come and see what it is we are striving to do.
